How to Get Rid of Oriental Roaches

Reducing food is not an effective control for Oriental cockroaches because they feed on a wide assortment of naturally occurring organic matter such as dead insects, slugs, and animals, animal wastes, rotting grass and weeds and human garbage. Oriental cockroaches are more sensitive to a scarcity of water than other cockroaches. Inspect any area that has a high humidity and a cool temperature. Crawl spaces, basements, and kitchen and bathroom plumbing should be inspected for dead roaches, egg cases, and fecal smears. Also, any spider webs in these locations should be inspected for cockroach remains. If you find cockroaches or feces in your house, vacuuming and cleaning affected areas with warm water and soap can help lessen allergic reactions.
